The first single since February's "Me, Myself, and Hyde", showcases the band's prowess as they continue the metalcore sound they polished in "The Predator Becomes the Prey". A little over a year after the release of their debut, "Wishful Thinking", Neck Deep is back with their sophomore effort. And it's everything fans hoped it would be. The best way to close out the summer, this pop punk gem solidifies the band's reputation as the genre's newest heavy weights. 

Four Year Strong - "Self Titled" Review

I wish I had seen these guys on Warped because I love their new album! I started work on this review around the same time I wrote I the Mighty's "Connector" review, but never got around to posting it until now. Which works out perfectly since this is our inaugural pop punk weekend! 

Four Year Strong is a band that has experienced ups and downs throughout their career. In the past the band has been inconsistent in the quality of their albums. They're sound varied from pop punk, to alt. rock, to hardcore punk. Building upon the genius that came from their EP "Go Down in History" these past two years have been the highest points for the band. 

SECRETS - "Renditions" Review

This is one band that keeps getting better with time. As a Rise/Velocity Records signee, SECRETS was bound to put out an acoustic EP sooner or later. After releasing the deluxe edition of their sophomore album, "Fragile Figures" in 2014, fans got pumped for new material. And it was delivered in the form of "Renditions". 
    **The band is currently working on their upcoming 3rd album.** 

I the Mighty - "Connector" Review

For those of you who aren't familiar with this band, let me give you some background info. I the Mighty is an alternative rock band based out of San Francisco. They've been making music since 2007, but were signed to Equal Vision Records back in 2011. They're first studio album, Satori, was released in 2013. Prior they had a string of EPs, most notably Karma Never Sleeps in 2012.  They've toured with bands like Say Anything, Architects, Hands Like Houses and letlive. Last year they were a part of the Vans Warped Tour. I had the pleasure of seeing their set in Hartford, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Their live performances are just as memorable as their CDs.
