Fearless Records is hitting fans hard this month with new albums from Tonight Alive, and now The Word Alive. Their 4th album is the band's "Sempiternal" (if that helps you understand the weight of this album), blowing expectations away, and seriously upping the ante. The 3rd single, and probably last single before the album's release, off The Word Alive's 4th studio effort. The band are really embracing the whole concept "expansive". They aren't limiting themselves based on genre, or past work. This record is sure to propel them to the top, along side bands like Bring Me the Horizon, and Enter Shikari who are also moving away from traditional hardcore. A year and a half after releasing their album "Real.", The Word Alive return with their 4th album, "Dark Matter". Frontman Tyler "Telle" Smith has said, "...the result of our most in-depth writing and recording session we've done and our most dynamic and expansive album to date." Fearless Records have been signing a lot of artists as of late. With new comers The White Noise, Oceans Ate Alaska, As It Is, I Prevail, My Enemies and I, and Movements they've certainly got a wide array of talent. The latest rookie debut is from Wage War, a metalcore outlet from Ocala, FL; a city known for producing metalcore legends Underoath and A Day to Remember. The band's debut, "Blueprints" is the best Black Friday purchase you could have made. This isn't an album for the faint of heart. It's nonstop modern metal goodness. The often overlooked group from Lodi, California, A Skylit Drive, have released their 5th album. Touring stints with bands like Sleeping with Sirens, Memphis May Fire, and multiple trips on Warped Tour have given them a respectable fanbase. But they've never been able to achieve the success of their peers. Their latest album, "ASD" (a self titled album), comes after yet another lineup change. So how does the album shape up? So last fall Epitaph Records released a single from a new signee, Too Close To Touch. At the time I didn't think much of the release, but after listening to the track, I was hooked on this band. I picked up their "self titled EP" and was completely sold on the band. And 3 months after their debut, I'm still jamming. So here's a full review of their debut, Nerve Endings.
