From the falsetto of the frontman, to the well timed screams and subtle (or not so subtle in some instances) breakdowns, Youth in Revolt definitely prove they have staying power. The proof? This single. Could we be looking at the new Sleeping with Sirens, don't rule it out Youth in Revolt might just be.

Quick Picks: Guilty Pleasure Artists

You'd never publicly admit you're into these artists. Whether it be because it's not "cool" to like them, or it's just completely out of your comfort zone, you have secretly been streaming these bands for years. Thank god for "incognito" right?
We're not saying these artists are bad in any way, nor are we saying it's bad to like them. But we totally get why people aren't jumping at the gun to reveal they're fans.

Picturesque - "Monstrous Things" EP Review

We didn't think it was possible for someone to have a voice higher than Kellin Quinn's, but then Picturesque goes and shatters the glass ceiling. In true record label battle fashion, Equal Vision has found their own Sleeping with Sirens in this new signee. Their EP "Monstrous Things" debuted on November 20. Most Disappointing Albums of 2015

2015 has come and gone. So many great albums, but on the same token, so many failures. We had big expectations for some of these bands, and they couldn't have missed the mark anymore. Well they probably could have but we shudder to think what could have been worse seeing as these were so bad. 

Before anyone gets too butthurt, let's try to keep an open mind. Understand, we aren't out to spread hate, we're just sharing our opinion. Quick Picks: Best Acoustic EPs

Isn't it funny how a change of instruments can make or break a song. A growing trend in bands is to release acoustic albums. Originating in the early 10s, now it's become the norm for bands who are between albums. Some albums or EPs tide fans over until the next big thing. Sometimes it works, and sometimes you should just stick to the dropped guitars and heavy bass beats. These are the ones that worked, for us at least. Top 10 Overrated Bands

!READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!, we're about to piss a lot of people off. There are millions of bands in the world, but very few able to achieve mainstream success. Some have cult followings, others have localized fame. Then some become worldwide phenomena. And there are a good number whose fame and recognition aren't earned through hard work. These are our picks for the most overrated bands.

We're sticking to bands who are active today, so no hiatus bands. We're excluding "pop stars" (i.e One Direction, Taylor Swift, etc) as that's another list entirely. If you think we forgot a band, comment and let us know. We're sorry if we make anyone butthurt. Top 10 Fangirl Frontmen / Bands

Some bands spend months writing albums and touring. Then there are bands that can so much as sneeze and sell out stadiums. Today, we're counting down our picks for bands whose careers have largely been built upon fangirls. The bands featured here are not necessarily bad, we'll let you be the judge of that. And fangirls aren't necessarily bad either, but they can be very influential on a band's success, without knowing the first thing about quality or substance. Click this (link) for more top 10 lists.

Traditionally a fusion of hardcore punk and post punk, today it has become more of a blend of metalcore, hardcore punk, pop punk, and various alt. rock off shoots. When we say modern, we're talking 2009 to the present. So if you don't see an album, be sure to check out our "Top 10 Classic Post Hardcore" albums post.

Part of our "Best of the Artist" series, this installment features Sleeping with Sirens. Lead by an almost irresistible frontman, Sleeping with Sirens have made quite the name for themselves. Unfortunately these days they’re more known for Kellin Quinn’s growing fandom, than the band’s music. So let’s count down their best songs, and remind people why we fell in love with SWS in the first place. A quick spoiler, notice how most of the top 5 songs are all from “Let’s Cheers to This”? We understand that everyone has their own opinion, so feel free to leave comments, butthurt or otherwise.

Top 10 Debut Albums (2010-2014) Pt 2

Some bands have debut records that miss the mark. Then there are bands who release debut albums so put together, and well written that we wonder where they've been hiding or entire lives. Here are some of the best debut albums released from 2010 to 2014. The albums aren't listed in any particular order (1 is not the top, 10 is not the bottom). Please keep in mind that I'm only one person, and can only listen to so many albums before my brain explodes. I have excluded bands that were formed after a member's previous band broke up or bands with members who were has previous success in another group (i.e, Of Mice and Men, Beartooth, Falling in Reverse, the many, many Jonny Craig bands, etc). These are bands who are fresh off the rookie circuit, and are cutting their teeth with this release. EPs are off limits, as they are often not good representations of what a band is truly capable of (though there are always exceptions to the rule). 

SECRETS - "Renditions" Review

This is one band that keeps getting better with time. As a Rise/Velocity Records signee, SECRETS was bound to put out an acoustic EP sooner or later. After releasing the deluxe edition of their sophomore album, "Fragile Figures" in 2014, fans got pumped for new material. And it was delivered in the form of "Renditions". 
    **The band is currently working on their upcoming 3rd album.** 

Sleeping with Sirens - "Madness" Review

Though it's been about three months since the release, it seemed stupid not to do a review of this album. "Madness" is the fourth effort from post hardcore giants Sleeping with Sirens. Or used to be post hardcore, now some odd mix of mainstream pop, emo, and acoustic band Kellin and the Quinns.
