Most Disappointing Albums of 2016

Some really are the worst, while others were just disappointments. Here, we look back at the albums that failed to impress, made us cringe, or were just plain bad. Keep in mind, we can only listen to so many albums, and take each into consideration. So if you think we missed something, comment and let us know.

The best songs, from some of the best artists, from some of the best albums. Please keep in mind, we can only listen to so many songs before our heads explode. We also shy away from "mainstream" songs, so don't expect to see things from Beyonce or the like.

Top 10 Albums of 2016

It's always hard to nail down the best albums of the year. They're so many to consider. The list may change in the future, and we'll put a notice on the post if it does. Anyway, here are our picks for the Top 10 Albums of 2016. To read the companion post, "Top 10 Songs of 2016" click the link. 

Please keep in mind, we can only listen to so many albums. If you think we missed one, leave a comment and tell us why you think it deserves to be on the list. Also, check out Honorable Mentions list. We only consider full length albums for this list, not EPs.

Hands Like Houses - "Dissonants" Review

Get ready for the best album from Hands Like Houses! Our favorite band from Canberra just released their 3rd album, "Dissonants". It comes highly recommended. If you need a reason to listen, well it's simply exquisite. The band have outdone themselves with this album, and it was worth the wait. To buy their album on iTunes click this (link).

Get ready, because there's a storm of kick ass rookie bands coming your way in 2016. Though the year has just begun we've already got bands that are making waves, or have been making waves. So grab some headphones, clear your afternoon, and start searching Youtube or Bandcamp.

The Word Alive - "Trapped" Single Review

A year and a half after releasing their album "Real.", The Word Alive return with their 4th album, "Dark Matter". Frontman Tyler "Telle" Smith has said, "...the result of our most in-depth writing and recording session we've done and our most dynamic and expansive album to date." The 1975 - "Love Me" Single Review

Our favorite English indie boys have returned with the first single off their highly anticipated sophomore album, "I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It" (oh god that's a mouthful). They seemed to become an overnight sensation with "Chocolate", and later "Sex" and "Girls". The lead single for their 2nd album, "Love Me", made its debut on BBC radio with Annie Mac.
